Contribution Thijs Kelder on 'wegdagvaarden
In the liber amicorum which was recently presented to Jan Sjöcrona, Thijs Kelder wrote a contribution on ‘wegdagvaarden’. This word is understood to mean that a summons is issued before the defence has been able to (completely) finish its preliminary inquiry made known to both the public prosecutor and the examining magistrate, as a result of which the completion of that inquiry is obstructed. The author describes this phenomenon in great detail and offers suggestions to prevent the examining magistrate and the defence to be shunted off as easily in preliminary criminal inquiries.
